Frequency Range

Camera Frame Rate and Measurable Vibration Frequency

The relationship between camera frame rate and measurable vibration frequency is governed by the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem.

The FPS ÷ 3 rule: a 90 FPS camera captures vibrations up to 30 Hz. A 300 FPS camera captures up to 100 Hz. A 1500 FPS camera captures up to 500 Hz.

Product FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Technical and commercial questions about the VibraVizja® kit and how to get started.

What is included in the Standard Kit?

The Standard Kit contains everything needed to run vibration amplification measurements independently: a 90 FPS industrial staring array camera, two lenses (8 mm and 16 mm), a 40,000 lux variable-intensity lamp, three dedicated tripods, the VibraVizja® analysis software, a high-performance processing laptop (Intel Core i7-13850HX, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, NVIDIA RTX GPU, Windows 11 Pro), and a reinforced carry case.

How long does it take to set up on site?

Setup is fast — typically a few minutes. Position the camera on its tripod, set up the lamp, connect the laptop, and you are ready to record. The first amplified video is usually available within 10 to 15 minutes of arriving at the asset.

What training is provided with the kit?

Every Standard Kit includes on-site training delivered by our Polish team at your facility. Training typically requires less than half a day and covers camera setup, measurement best practices, software operation, frequency analysis, and report export.

What does the 500× amplification factor mean in practice?

A 500× factor means that a displacement of 1 micrometre — invisible to the naked eye — is rendered as a visually clear 0.5 mm movement in the amplified video. Even very subtle vibration modes become immediately visible on screen.

Can the kit be used in ATEX or hazardous zones?

The VibraVizja® kit itself is not ATEX-certified, but because the measurement is contactless, the camera can be positioned at a safe distance outside the ATEX zone — making it highly practical for oil and gas, chemical processing, and similar environments.

What is the measurable frequency range?

The Standard Kit's 90 FPS camera covers vibrations up to 30 Hz, which encompasses the vast majority of rotating machinery fault frequencies. Specialist kits with cameras up to 1500 FPS (up to 500 Hz) are available on request.

What are the warranty and software subscription terms?

Hardware comes with a 1-year warranty. The VibraVizja® analysis software is available under a yearly subscription or lifetime licence. Software updates are included for the duration of your active subscription.
